For Girl Student : Upto third child Rs. 52/- for both FYJC & SYJC Arts / Commerce N.B. : Full Year Fee has to be paid at the time of admission. Admission will not be effective without the payment of fees, and will be treated as cancelled unless the fees are paid on the day the admission is granted.
TERMS
The academic year is divided into two terms as follows :
The arrangement of terms in the Faculties of Arts & Commerce for the academic year 2010 - 2011 is as under :
First Term - June 2010 to Oct. 2010
Second Term - Nov. 2010 to April 2011
There will be a break for Winter from 25th December 2010 to 1st January 2011 (both days inclusive) Subject to change as per the directives of the Board The college will be closed on Sundays and Public Holidays declared by the State Government and on such days as the Principal may declare from time to time.
RULES
1. Punctuality and regularity of attendance will be strictly enforced.
2. Attention of the students is drawn to Regulation No. 88 of Maharashtra Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Resolution 1977, according to which they are required to attend 75% of the working days in each term.
STUDENTS WHOSE ATTENDANCE IS FOUND TO BE UNSATISFACTORY, WILL NOT ONLY LOSE THEIR ACADEMIC YEAR BUT WILL ALSO NOT BE RE-ADMITTED TO THE COLLEGE.
COLLEGE EXAMINATIONS AND TESTS
FYJC ARTS / COMMERCE EXAMINATION
A First Unit Test
i Each paper will be of 50 marks and one hour duration.
ii The test will be conducted in the first term.
B Second Unit Test
i Each paper will be of 50 marks and one hour duration.
ii The test will be conducted in the first term.
C Terminal Examination
i Each paper will be of 100 marks and three hours duration.
ii The examination will be completed one week before the close of the first term.
D Final Examination
i Each paper will be of 100 marks and three hours duration.
ii The examination will be completed one week before the close of the second term.
E Class Assignments
Class work assigned by the subject teacher from time to time will be compulsory.
F. Promotion to S.Y.J.C. will be based on the average marks obtained by the student in all the above mentioned Test / Examinations (A to E).
G. A minimum of 35% marks at each subject is required for promotion to next class.
H. Students will be required to carry their attested Identity Cards during each examination.
SYJC ARTS / COMMERCE EXAMINATION
For students of S.Y.J.C. (Arts & Commerce) will conduct terminal and preliminary examination at the First Term and Second Term respectively.
Appearance at both the examination is compulsory. For the students to be eligible to appear at college examination, it is necessary to have a minimum attendance of 75% in lectures and tutorials and to keep terms as per rules. Students will be required to produce their duly attested Identity Cards.
