The objective of the Marathi Vangmay Mandal is to arrange programmes to encourage
Marathi literature among its members. It has created a common platform for Marathi
speaking students. The competitions held during the year got an overwhelming response
from the members. Essay Competition, Handwriting Competition, Crossword, Singing,
Story - Telling, Elocution, Quiz, Antakshari Competition were held during the academic
year. The handwritten magazine ‘Ankur’ was released during prize distribution function.
Tanya Ghadi and Parag Gurav were declared as an active member of the mandal. Annual
Day
and Prize distribution ceremony was conducted under the Chairmanship of Ganesh Rewadkar,
a renowned theatre and cinema actor.
Priti Tambe (F.Y.B.A. Student) won a consolation prize in the Intercollegiate Storytelling
(Kathakathan) Competition held at Thane. The mandal was efficiently managed by Anupama
Nerurkar, Rohini Kelkar, Dr. Aparna Lovekar and Kalpana Bansod.

its 25th anniversary year in 2011-12.
Competitions related to literature like essay
competition, crossword competition, Quiz
competition, Marathi poems recitation etc. were conducted.
Students actively participated in singing,
antakshari, Handwriting, Rangoli and Mehendi
competition.
The Annual Day was celebrated with great
enthusiasm and support of ex-students and regular
members. The chief guests were renowned popular

Abhijit Khandkekar and Mrunal Dusanis. They
performed plays, dances. The
handwritten magazine. ‘Ankur’ was released to boost
the writing habits among members.
We received whole - hearted co-operation and
guidance from the principal Dr. Madlani, Dr. Mrs. Aparna
Levekar, Kalpana Basod and Mrs. Rohini Kelkar
