Goals

It is well said:

"On the journey of life's highway,
keep your eyes upon the goal.
Focus on the doughnut and not upon the hole."

The guiding principle behind goal setting at the Sadhana Education Society's L. S. Raheja college of Arts & Commerce is latent in the word SMART

S SPECIFIC GOALS

M MEASURABLE GOALS

A ACHIEVABLE GOALS

R REALISTIC GOALS

T TIME BOUND GOALS

It is encouraging to say that individuals have set and met their career goals.

Our educational institution believes in three types of goals:
1. Short term goals (1 year)
2. Mid-Term goals (3 years)
3. Long-Term goals (5 years and beyond)

For Gean Gordon rightly said:

" Life is hard by the yard but inch by the inch it is a cinch"

Our educational institution's educational goals are embodied in our mission and domain.

The institutional development technique of our educational institution requires its Management, Principal, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff and Students to work together on setting and trying to achieve important institutional goals.

The basic steps and processes are shown below:

  1. Develop an action plan - Management, Principal, Staff and Students work together to set goals that are specific and measurable. They also develop a plan to attain them.
  2. Implementing the plan - Progress towards the goal is carefully monitored, making corrections as needed.
  3. Evaluationg the results - was the goal reached? If not, develop a new plan - If yes, set new goals.
