LIBRARY IS A GROWING ORGANISM
Collections & Infrastructure
Books: A total of 2,145 books were added with a total of 20617 over the last year’s total of 18472.
Journals: Journal holdings increased this year by over eight titles, with a total of 36 over last
year’s total of 28.
Electronic Collections: A total of 162 CD-ROMS were added, with a total of 417 over last year’s total of 255.
Infrastructure: In the academic year 2006-2007, the Library purchased 3 more computers for providing
internet access to the students at free of cost.
Services and Activities
Aside from the routine tasks related to Libraries, such as technical literacy training, maintenance of the
computer catalog, computer and server administration, inter library loan, reference services, circulation, re-
prography services, and collaboration within and outside of the Libraries; the larger focus was on the primary
goals: 1)a renewed emphasis on instructing library personnel about software and hardware, with an eye to-
ward greater productivity and security; and 2) developing a digitization program for syllabus and question
papers.
Library organized "GYANYATRA" a book exhibition cum sale on December 7, 2007 and December 8, 2007

Human Resources & Personnel Development: The Library also celebrated Librarian's Day, which included the announcement of "BEST READER AWARD"
