During 2007-2008, the Mandal had 200 members including degree and junior college students. The Students participation was great in various competitions like essay, handwriting, rangoli, mehendi, recitation of poems, antakshari etc. The Marathi Quiz competition named “Prashnamanjusha” was organized to boost general knowledge among its members. Dr. Aparna Lovekar took special interest in arranging the competition successfully. A programme called “Pausdhara” was organized by the members consisting of poems, songs on monsoon and to welcome the new members of the XIth standard. A handwritten magazine “Ankur” was published. Articles, essays, poems, cartoons, jokes by the members were included in the magazine. The annual day and prize distribution ceremony was a grand success. Ms. Mugdha Ranande (Godbole), a renowned stage artist in Marathi plays and serials honoured to be a chief guest. She appealed to the students to do their best in life, decide and plan accordingly. Her guidance regarding a career in entertainment industry benefited students.
