The Planning Forum inauguration for the year was held in the month of September. Prof. Panicker from Acharya Marathe College delivered a talk on "Careers and Prospects in Economics." The talk was very inspirational and informative. It was followed by discussions. The Forum conducted an elocution competition on current topics like Child Labour in India, the Changing status of Women, Capital Market in India and the Special Economic Zones. An essay competition was also held in which seven students participated. The Planning Forum took the students for a study tour to the Reserve Bank of India. The students were taken in two batches on two days. A total of 150 students visited RBI and tremendously benefited from it. Two students of SYBA Economics also submitted a report on the visit.
