Message from the Principal

The greatest gift that God has bestowed on man is “The Brain”. If the power of brain is fully exploited one cannot help but win everyone and everything that one encounters. The L.S.Raheja College has always stood for the three virtues it wishes to instill in all its students which is the foundation of every successful student: Dedication, Diligence and Discipline. We sincerely believe in these pearls of wisdom and are exceptionally proud of our  meritorious students who have excelled in their respective fields.

I salute the committed faculty and the dedicated student fraternity and optimistically anticipate touching higher peaks with sincerity and firm moral values that have been sown and harvested. My college and I will not settle for anything less than success.

Our academic program ensures a relaxed and creative atmosphere for the students at L.S.Raheja College of Arts and Commerce. The air is replete with brainstorming sessions, which add to and enhance their existing programs wherein they can prove their mettle.

From times immemorial man has endeavoured to preserve the past, to relive moments of glory and to cherish fond memories of a time needed to come again. As the past merges with the present and the future overlaps both, I marvel at the mosaic of academics and cultural activities that form the arena called L.S.Raheja College of Arts and Commerce. As is obvious from our results, both at the Junior and Degree College, Success rides high on the waves of uneasing hard work and consistent dedication. Hard work is like climbing a staircase and luck is like the elevator, the elevator may fail some time but the staircase will definitely take you to the top. It is this structure of Dedication, Diligence and Discipline that has helped us to create ambassadors of perfection. Therefore, my heart swells with pride to make you aware of the fact that each passing year proves to be exceptionally remarkable. Apart from our prestigious self-financing courses like BAF, BBI, BMS and BMM, we introduced new course B.Sc IT and BFM, three year Degree courses conducted by the University of Mumbai Besides enlisting and enrolling the team of students, these streams are spearheaded by very committed and focused coordinators who ensured that they functioned smoothly by virtually striving 24/7 for their prestige and glory. Festivals like “Le Melange” held under the BMS banner, “INSIGHT” 08 under the auspices of B.Sc.IT and RUHH put forth by BAF,BBI were sure five hits with an overwhelming response from students all over the city.

Believing in the dictum that there are no limitations to learning, we are broadening our spectrum and announce with great pride the commencement of UGC add-on courses like language fluency, Mass Communication and Journalism and Travel and Tourism; as well as Animation and Retail Management.

The college acknowledges with utmost humility the immense support, philanthropic acts motivated by a persevering and progressive Management, a very supportive and cooperative non teaching staff and the contribution from our highly qualified experienced and innovative faculty members is note worthy.

L.S.Raheja College being an integral part of the Mumbai University, to an appreciable interest in the Sesqui Centennial Celebrations. The college hosted a two day active work-shop of Classical Dance and Drama. Hon’ble the Vice Chancellor Dr.Vijay Khale, our chief guest inaugurated the work-shop on Classical Dance and the Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr.A.D.Sawant inaugurated the workshop on Indian Drama.

The college being accredited an “A” grade Institution by the NAAC is certainly an achievement to be proud of but we cannot rest on our laurels as they are “miles to go before we sleep”. I appeal to my student’s fraternity to give “your utmost for your highest”. The little extra-utmost which takes you to the pinnacle, winning laurels, awards and recognition, as genius is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration. My request is a real aident request to all my students- please fortify my faith with your success.

As we steer towards each academic calendar, we would like to recharge the fuel, for the world is not a parking lot, it is a racing track. We urge you to keep moving no matter when and where you start, but reach the finishing line, thereby setting new bench marks.
