As part of its activities during the year 2007-2008, the Women Development Cell organized a poster competition in September 2007 on the theme "Changing Status of Women." In November 2007 the cell organized a talk on Domestic Violence by Rukmini Datta from the NGO point of view. Documentary 'Bol" by Drishti Media was screen which highlighted the case studies of women affected by domestic violence and their fight against it.

The cell also held sessions with the girl students at regular intervals sensitizing them to the gender issues. Also sessions were held with girl students to discuss their problems.
