EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

  • Participation in extra-curricular activities nurtures students' individuality and contributes to their overall personality development.
  • B.Com (Financial Markets) students have organized and participated in several intra and inter collegiate events (festivals). BFM students along with BAF and BBI students organize an intra- collegiate fest "RUHH" every year.
  • The various events in this festival are: Ad-Mad, Debates, Fashion Show, Music competition, Dance competition, singing competition, Talent Hunt etc.

Co-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

Seminars Guest Lectures and Workshops :

The BFM department has organised Seminars, Guest lectures and workshops for knowledge enhancement and overall personality development of student:

An International Seminar was organized on "Frauds in Indian Corporate Arena" in collaboration with India Forensic.
A seminar on "Informed Investor: An Asset to Corporate India" an Ministry of Corporate Affairs initiative, conducted by Bombay Shareholder Association.
Workshops and training programs were organised on the following themes:

  • Financial Planning and Wealth Management
  • Investor Awareness and Education in India: Changing scenario
  • Corporate Governance: An important tool for creating long term stakeholder value.

Academic Event:

The BFM department in collaboration with BAF and BBI departments of LSRC organizes a three day annual inter-collegiate academic event “FINACCIN” focusing on recent challenges and developments in the streams of Finance, Accounting and Insurance.

The event comprises of various activities like; quizzes, group discussions, debates, case study competitions, short presentations, mock stock etc. along with a series of seminars and workshops, where prominent speakers from the industry are invited.

 

Industrial Visits:

As per requirement of the Finance Course, the B.Com –Financial Markets students visit Banks, Financial Institutions, Stock Exchanges,and the likes in their professional field. Local educational visits are organized by the college with an objectiveof giving students an insight of the operations and the actual functioning ofthese entities. Likewise, this supplement the various theories acquired in theclassroom for a simultaneous understanding and application.

In connection with this, the BFM students of L.S. RahejaCollege visited following institutions:

  • The Reserve Bank of India
  • National Stock Exchange
  • Bombay Stock Exchange
  • Delhi Stock Exchange
